The dynamic mixture of cultured locals and energetic university students proved an ideal atmosphere. His restaurant, Daniela’s, quickly became a Gainesville favorite for its fine Italian cuisine. Now, along with his son, Chef Marco, he proudly presents his newest creation, Manuel’s Vintage Room. Located in the heart of the city’s vibrant downtown, this intimate retreat, with its brick walls and burnished wood floors, is the ideal setting for an evening to remember. The food of Manuel’s Vintage Room is a graceful expression of the cuisines that Manuel has grown to love in his world travels. A largely Italian inspiration comes through in dishes such as Lobster Ravioli and Veal Milanese, while hints of exotic locales glimmer in Dante’s Chicken. His career in food and beverage spans thirty plus years. Originally from Mexico, he settled in the Detroit area as a young adult. He has owned and operated restaurants for the last twenty years and has had the privilege of serving many high profile individuals such as Barbara Walters and Henry Ford to name a few. His first passion will always be wine. Not many can surpass his vast knowledge. Above all this, his joy is to meet new friends.
Marco owned a successful, up scale Mexican restaurant in downtown Detroit, Michigan. His career spans several years in the Detroit area with Mexican as well as Italian concepts.
